FINAL CTA
VIC MAC products are manufactured to the buyer’s approved requirement. The values shown are common configurations in existing VIC MAC technical sheets.
KEY FEATURES
- Ultra-high-hardness ballistic protection steel for protection applications.
- Hardness range: 590-640 HB, measured 1 mm below the plate surface.
- Typical mechanical properties include approximately 1550 MPa yield strength and 2100 MPa tensile strength.
- Supplied in quenched and tempered condition.
- Common thickness range from 3.0 mm to 12.0 mm.
- Suitable for controlled welding, cold bending, sawing, mechanical cutting and milling.
- Material temperature during fabrication should not exceed 150°C in order to preserve characteristic hardness and performance.
- Suitable as base armour or add-on armour for vehicles, security doors, protective walls, counters and other specialised protection systems.
APPLICATIONS
- Vehicle armour: armoured SUVs, cars, trucks, cash-in-transit vehicles and police / security vehicles.
- Structural protection: security doors, protective walls, counters, ballistic partitions and related security applications.
- Reference recommendations include 5.56 x 45 mm and 7.62 x 51 mm threats at approximately 4.7 mm plate thickness under the stated reference test conditions.
- Higher reference threats include 7.62 x 39 mm API at approximately 8.5 mm, 7.62 x 51 mm hard-core at approximately 10 mm and 7.62 x 54R B32 at approximately 12 mm, subject to the applicable test distance, velocity and certification.
